Many of our Choir Members say that joining the choir is one of the best decisions they've ever made. Not only is there a fantastic feeling of inclusive friendship and community within the choir. But also we have a jolly good lot of fun. Just listen to what some of our choir members say;
So hopefully you can see from the genuine warm and heartfelt comments from the singers in our Northampton based Philharmonic choir that singing as a pass time, whether its as a musical hobby or you wish to excel and improve your singing ability, is also a lot of fun and a very rewarding activity. The Reverend Richard Coles is a Church of England priest in the quintessentially English village of Finedon, Northamptonshire, where two of his ancestors were Vicars in the seventeenth century. However, in complete contrast, more than a quarter of a century ago Richard was the instrumentalist half of pop band The Communards, together with Jimmy Somerville.
In 1990, after attending a mass at St Alban's, Richard was suddenly inspired with a new found faith. He returned to Anglicanism in 2001 and then in 2005 was ordained into the Anglican priesthood.
