Britten - 50th Anniversary Concert

A special concert celebrating Benjamin Britten

Marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Benjamin Britten on 4th December, Harrogate Choral joins forces with Northampton Philharmonic Choir to present this wonderful concert in two venues.

Thomas Moore is Deputy Music Director for Harrogate Choral and Music Director of Northampton Philharmonic Choir. St Matthews Church, Northampton, has connections with Benjamin Britten: one of the pieces in the concert, Rejoice in the Lamb, was commissioned by Walter Hussey, Anglican patron of the arts, for his church, St Matthews.

The concert will also include Saint Nicolas, Jubilate in C and other works by Britten.
